Communication is an even more vital part of family life than it is for life in general, and that's saying something. For all that people disagree on how parents should raise their kids, most can concur that being able to talk with them effectively is an essential part of it.

This includes the awkward conversations, such as when major changes are taking place. Anyone who has seen their parents break up probably remembers where and when the news was broken, but one viral video has proved more memorable than most.

When one TikToker's parents found themselves in the position of needing to inform their kids about their divorce, they took the most deranged route possible with a pre-Christmas ecard announcement. Although it might have been bewildering to receive, it certainly tickled the wider internet with its cheerful explanation of their relationship ending. Perhaps a face-to-face conversation would have been more appropriate?
